Fløistuen Shop

At the top of Mount Fløyen, you’ll find perhaps the coziest little shop in town, filled with locally made products. Whether you’re looking for a gift for someone special or a little something to remember your trip by, we have something for everyone, big and small.

At Fløistuen Shop, we’re passionate about showcasing the very best of Norwegian design, craftsmanship and locally made quality products. Here you’ll find a carefully curated selection from talented producers such as “Nordnes Verksteder”, “Arven Sølvvarefabrikk”, “Haukeli Fjellsmykker”, “TirillM bags”, “Oleana knitwear”, “Granberg Garveri” with its soft Norwegian spælsau sheepskins, “Bjørklund” cheese slicers and “Fjåk” Chocolate. In autumn, you can also pick up the popular honey from our very own beehives here at Fløyen – a true taste of the mountain.

The weather in Bergen can change quickly, but there’s no reason to let the rain put a damper on your experience. We offer umbrellas, rain hats, rain jackets, raincoats and ponchos to keep you dry on your way. We also have practical rainwear sets for children, so the little ones can stay dry and comfortable while out exploring.

Looking for a souvenir from Bergen? We have a great selection of classic Bryggen souvenirs, and you might even spot a troll or two among the shelves.

We hope Fløistuen Shop has something for everyone – whether you’re a Bergen local, visiting from elsewhere in Norway, or travelling from the other side of the world.

Come in for a pleasant shopping experience and take a little piece of Fløyen home with you.

A Selection of Our Local Suppliers

Granberg Garveri

Granberg Garveri is a Norwegian family-owned company from Ølen in Rogaland, specialising in products made from Norwegian leather and sheepskin. From Granberg Garveri, we offer large sheepskins from the Norwegian Spælsau sheep, one of Norway’s oldest sheep breeds, with a history spanning more than 1,000 years. These beautiful sheepskins are a wonderful reflection of Norwegian traditions and cultural heritage.

We also offer small sitting pads made from reindeer hide. These are crafted from leftover pieces of hide with minor imperfections that would otherwise go to waste. Instead, the material is given a new life as practical and durable sitting pads.

Fjåk

At Fløistuen Shop, you’ll find Fjåk Chocolate, one of the first producers in Norway to embrace bean-to-bar chocolate production. This means they oversee the entire process, from cocoa bean to finished chocolate.

Ethics are at the heart of everything they do, with a strong focus on organic chocolate inspired by Nordic flavours. Their unique range includes flavours such as blueberry, brown cheese, Thai chilli, reindeer lichen and lingonberry.

A wonderful local product, made in Hardanger!

Oleana

Oleana is based in Ytre Arna, right here in Bergen! The company was founded in 1992 as a response to the relocation of other Norwegian textile factories abroad. Oleana produces knitwear in wool and silk, and every garment is knitted, assembled, sewn, pressed, quality-checked and packaged at their factory in Ytre Arna.

Oleana is committed to moving away from mass production and the exploitation of cheap labour, while doing everything they can to reduce their carbon footprint.

At Fløistuen Shop, we offer a selection of Oleana products, including scarves and wrist warmers.

Skandinavisk

Skandinavisk is a Danish company that creates wellness and fragrance products inspired by Nordic scents and Scandinavian design. Their products are made in Sweden and Denmark, with a strong focus on sustainability and using as many natural ingredients as possible.

At Fløistuen Shop, we offer a selection of scented candles, reed diffusers, hand creams and hand soaps in a variety of fragrances.

 Jewellery from Haukeli

Stian Røkenes Christensen runs a jewellery workshop in Haukeli, in the upper part of Telemark, where he creates handcrafted silver jewellery made from 100% recycled silver.

At Fløistuen Shop, we offer a wide selection from his beautiful “Fjellsmykke” collection. The range includes necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings. Among the designs is the traditional eight-petal rose, one of the most iconic and historic patterns in Norwegian culture.

Øyo

Øyo is a Norwegian family-owned company, founded in 1882 in Geilo. We’re proud to work with Norwegian suppliers and help promote Norway’s rich traditions and heritage.

Bjørklund

Did you know that Thor Bjørklund invented the cheese slicer in 1925? This iconic Norwegian invention is now more than 100 years old!

Bjørklund has been manufacturing its products in Norway for generations, and still does so today. Their cheese slicers are genuine quality products, crafted by hand using traditional techniques. At Fløistuen Shop, we offer cheese slicers in a variety of designs and colours, and we’re proud to support Norwegian products that reflect the country’s rich tradition of craftsmanship.

Embla

In the heart of Risør, you’ll find Embla Design, one of Norway’s most renowned and well-established jewellery workshops. The story of their handcrafted silver and enamel jewellery began more than 30 years ago, and to this day, each piece is still made at their workshop along the waterfront in Risør. Every piece of jewellery is unique, with a distinctive design that makes it recognisable from afar.

At Fløistuen Shop, we offer a selection of bracelets and jewellery from Embla Design.
